Invented in 1925 by Sakura Color Products Corporation, it is probably the most “basic and acceptable art material” in the elementary school market today. Cray-Pas oil pastels can create oilpaint effects, are easy to hold with their round shapes, will not peel, crack or flake, are easily blend-able and are safe for children. Great for drawing, lettering, scratch art, & long lasting sidewalk art. Cray- Pas are excellent on paper, cardboard and canvas. Meets ACMI non-toxicity standards, and is “AP” Seal certified.
